Description
The waterfalls in Sarakina Gorge are a series of small to medium cascades formed along the narrow canyon by flowing mountain streams. They are most impressive during late winter and spring, when rainfall feeds the gorge and creates continuous water flow. Many of the waterfalls are tucked between steep rock walls, giving the area a lush, shaded atmosphere with pools and natural basins. In summer, most of them reduce significantly or dry out, leaving behind the sculpted rock formations.
