Welcome to Ierapetra and to the Agricultural Cooperative “To Nisi”.
As the southernmost city in Greece and a popular tourist destination, Ierapetra is known for its award-winning beaches, the untouched paradise of Chrissi Island, the Selakano forest, and the wild beauty of Mount Thripti.

The city’s economy experienced rapid growth in the 1960s, when greenhouse cultivation of early vegetables first began. The first wooden greenhouse, built in 1966, marked the beginning of a new era. Since then, greenhouse construction and cultivation techniques have advanced significantly, supported by a new generation of farmers embracing modern methods.

Today, from October to June, over 30 refrigerated trucks depart daily from Ierapetra, supplying fresh produce to destinations across Greece and abroad.
