Description
Stavros Beach is a sheltered, shallow bay where calm, clear waters create a gentle marine environment ideal for small fish and other coastal species. The sandy seabed transitions into rocky edges that support algae, mollusks, and occasional sea urchins. Surrounding the beach, low Mediterranean vegetation grows across the dry hills, providing habitat for insects, reptiles, and small birds. The enclosed shape of the bay also attracts seabirds, which feed in the quiet waters and rest along the shore. Despite its popularity, the natural setting still supports a modest but diverse coastal ecosystem.
