Rethymnon Beach

Rethymno, Crete, has a long, well-organized sandy Town Beach right next to the city, while the surrounding area offers many other options—from secluded coves to popular beaches like Bali and Preveli. The Town Beach is ideal for families due to its gentle slope and is fully equipped with amenities such as sunbeds and water sports. It’s also a nesting site for Caretta-caretta sea turtles. For a different experience, visitors can head east to beaches like Platanes and Skaleta, or west to the more rugged Episkopi Beach, or south to the scenic and secluded spots of Preveli Lagoon or Triopetra Beach.
