Pera Vrisi

Pera Vrisi is a family-run restaurant rooted in three decades of real hospitality experience. After successfully running a Greek restaurant in Germany for over 30 years, our family returned to their homeland and built something new—carefully restoring old stone buildings into a warm, welcoming place in the mountain village of Gergeri, in the heart of Crete.

Our kitchen blends Cretan roots with original, modern creations shaped over many years. Alongside traditional influences, you’ll also taste inspiration from our time in Germany—reimagined with personality, care, and high-quality ingredients. A true highlight is our traditional antikristo lamb, slowly grilled on the terrace—an essential taste of Crete that shouldn’t be missed. We offer a fixed menu, complemented by seasonal dishes made with fresh, local ingredients.

Next to the restaurant flows the natural spring that gave Pera Vrisi its name, known for its clear mountain water. In winter, the atmosphere is cozy and intimate with a fireplace; in summer, guests enjoy a spacious panoramic terrace, easily shaded and open to the mountain air.
