Description

Menies Beach is a remote, untouched coastal area where rugged cliffs meet clear, deep-blue waters, creating a quiet refuge for wildlife. The surrounding rocky slopes are covered with sparse Mediterranean vegetation, including thyme, phrygana shrubs, and hardy grasses adapted to the dry, windy conditions. This isolation makes the area attractive to seabirds such as gulls and cormorants, which nest along the cliffs and forage in the nearby sea. Beneath the water’s surface, the rocky seabed supports marine life like fish, sea urchins, and occasional octopuses. The lack of development allows natural ecosystems here to remain largely undisturbed, making Menies a small but valuable habitat.
