Limanaki Beach

On the southeastern edge of Lassithi In the municipality of Makris Gialos lies the beautiful Limanaki Beach, located next to the neighboring beaches Koutsouleri and Diaskari. The beach boasts rich blue waters that run pretty shallow and are relatively calm, making it an ideal choice for swimming especially amongst families with small kids. The shore is sandy and relatively narrow, with a width of about 3 meters. And yet the beach itself is well organized, with copious umbrellas and sunbeds available. Surrounding the beach are several different tavernas and cafes. These traditional spots offer authentic Cretan delicacies and are the perfect place to grab a bite or a coffee after a leisurely swim. It should be noted, however, that the beach tends to get pretty crowded on account of these establishments.
