Description
Komos Beach is a stunning, unspoiled beach located 66 km southwest of Heraklion, near Pitsidia and Matala, in Crete. It features golden sand, crystal-clear waters, and high cliffs, offering breathtaking views of the Paximadia islets. Komos Beach is known for its natural beauty, archaeological significance, and ecological importance, as it serves as a nesting site for the Caretta Caretta sea turtles. While part of the beach is organized with sunbeds, umbrellas, and a canteen, the northern section, Potamos, is more secluded and popular among naturists.
