Description
The Klados Gorge is a remote and rugged gorge in the Sfakia region of southern Crete. It is far less known than nearby routes like Aradena Gorge, which makes it quiet and rarely crowded. The terrain is steep and rocky, with sections that can require scrambling and careful navigation, so it’s considered moderate to difficult.
The gorge eventually leads toward the southern coastline in the broader Loutro area, offering dramatic views of cliffs and the sea. Because it is not well marked or maintained, it’s best suited for experienced hikers who are prepared for a more wilderness-style trek.
