Imbros gorge

The Imbros Gorge is one of the most popular and accessible gorges in Crete, offering a shorter alternative to the famous Samaria Gorge. It runs about 8 kilometers from the village of Imbros down to Komitades, with a mostly gentle downhill route. The path is well-defined and passes through narrow rock passages, some only a few meters wide. It’s generally considered easy, making it suitable for families and casual hikers, especially in spring and early autumn.
