Description
The most popular of the so-called Limanakia beaches east of Hersonisos, Gefyri Beach is recognizable by the concrete retaining wall at its northern half and the masonry wall that separates it from the road at its southern half. By far the most accessible beach in the area, it is extensively organized, with plenty of umbrellas and sunbeds throughout, although a few spots are still available for those who wish to lie on a towel. The beach is sandy, although the main entrance is rocky near the road, while the waters are calm and crystal clear, with an unmistakable shade of blue; the rocky seafloor, discouraging to the uninitiated, actually testifies to the water’s cleanliness. This beach is somewhat deeper than its neighbors, although it remains pretty shallow
