Description

Fragokastello is a seaside village on a small plain which is located 13 km east of Sfakia. The village is known for the homonymous middle-aged castle built by the island’s Venetian dominators. At Fragokastello castle has been observed the Drosoulites phenomenon. Nature enthusiasts will truly appreciate the view of Leuka Ori mountains that are extended behind Fragokastello, as well as the gorge and the plateau of Kallikratis.
