Fodele Beach

Fodele Beach is a stunning sandy beach located 26km northwest of Heraklion, Crete. It sits near the village of Fodele, famously known as the birthplace of El Greco, the renowned painter. The beach is open to the north winds and is flanked by Cape Stavros on the east and Kastellos Hill on the west, where remnants of an old fort can be found.

The western part of the beach is well-organized, featuring sun umbrellas, sunbeds, showers, water sports, cafes, and taverns.
