Deliana gorge

The Deliana Gorge, also known as Mesavlia Gorge, is a peaceful and relatively easy gorge in western Crete. It runs between the villages of Deliana and Mesavlia, following a gentle path through shaded areas with trees and seasonal streams. The hike is short and suitable for most visitors, making it a good option for a relaxed walk rather than a demanding trek. One of its highlights is the mix of natural scenery and small historical elements, such as old chapels and traditional stone features along the route. Compared to more famous gorges like Samaria Gorge, it is much quieter, offering a calm and uncrowded experience.
