Argyroupoli is a mountain village on the Greek Mediterranean island of Crete. It is part of the local community within the municipal unit of Lappa in the municipality of Rethymno. The name Argyroupoli means “Silver City.” Its history, natural springs, and several fish taverns make the village a popular destination for tourists.
