Almirida Beach

The beach to the east is mostly sandy and very friendly to children and families, as the water is cool and clean and the depth is perfect for all ages. At some point you will also find a small harbor which is visited mainly by families with small children, as the water is warm and protected.

The length of the beach is large, while its width is not. There are a variety of sceneries along the coastline, with some points being organized and full of facilities (shower, cafes, sunbeds, taverns, etc) and some to the east to be quieter. To the west the beach and the bottom are a bit more rocky.

The beach of Almyrida is a very good choice for a calm swimming near Chania with your family or company, where you can either be among many people and organized beaches, or enjoy the sea and the sun more quietly, enjoying in both cases the beautiful view and the clear sea water.
