Agios Sillas is a small, traditional village in central Crete, about 15 km south of Heraklion. Nestled among vineyards and olive groves at the foothills of Mt. Giouhtas, it’s known for its rich history, ties to Saint Silas, and a strong local culture shaped by Asia Minor refugees. The village hosts a lively festival on July 30 and offers peaceful rural charm with easy access to nature and historical sites.
