Agios Syllas (Saint Silas) is a small traditional village located about 15 km south of Heraklion, Crete. It is named after Saint Silas, a companion of the Apostle Paul, and is home to a historic Orthodox church dedicated to him. Surrounded by olive groves and vineyards, the village offers peaceful views of the Cretan countryside and nearby Mount Juktas. With roots dating back to Byzantine times, Agios Syllas is a quiet and culturally rich destination for visitors interested in history, faith, and nature.
