Abas Gorge (also spelled Ambas or Abbas) is a dramatic canyon located in southern Heraklion, Crete, near the Asterousia Mountains. It's best known for its stunning 145-meter waterfall—the tallest in Crete—and its rugged cliffs that host a rich population of birds of prey. Easily accessible by road, the gorge offers breathtaking views from a cliffside trail and is a favorite spot for adventurous canyoners and nature lovers alike.
