Description

The Port of Souda is the main seaport in the Chania region of Crete. It is located in the wide, natural bay of Souda, one of the safest in the Mediterranean, making it an important commercial, ferry, and military port. Regular ferries depart from there to Piraeus (Athens), and goods arrive for western Crete. In addition, the area houses strategic naval installations used by Greece and NATO allies.
