Description

The Analipsi church on the Nida Plateau refers to a small Greek Orthodox chapel called Ekklisia Analipsi situated high in the mountains of Crete, Greece, on the Nida Plateau (Οροπέδιο Νίδας) — part of the Psiloritis (Mount Ida) range. The chapel is small and scenic, often visited by hikers and travellers exploring the Psiloritis area. It’s traditionally Greek Orthodox and locally referred to simply as Analipsi (meaning Ascension). The site includes a small garden and oak trees overlooking the plateau. Photographs and map listings show it as a chapel with simple stone construction, typical of isolated mountain churches in Crete.
