Description

Panagia Harakiani (Our Lady of Harakas) is an important Orthodox pilgrimage site in Crete, located on the main road between Heraklion and Rethymno, not far from Bali. It is known for an icon hidden at the foot of a large rock, where, according to tradition, a shepherd found a miraculous image. It attracts crowds of worshippers, especially in August.
