Preveli Beach

Preveli Beach is located 32 km south of the city of Rethymno, at the estuary of a river that shares its name with the beach.

It is a stunning sandy beach surrounded by palm trees and abundant natural treasures for visitors to discover, such as the nearby waterfalls in the area.

Another great feature is that you can also swim in the fresh waters of the nearby river if you prefer.

How to get there:

There are two options to reach the beautiful Preveli Beach. You can take a boat from Agia Galini (or from other nearby villages), or you can climb the stairs on the west side of the gorge near a monastery.

Facilities Preveli Beach has no special facilities besides a taverna, which can cover basic needs like food, coffee, soft drinks, and toilets.
