Description
The “pirate fjord” in Crete is actually Kalypso Beach, a secluded cove named Pirate Fjord because pirates historically used it as a refuge. Located near Plakias on the south coast, it features a narrow bay surrounded by steep cliffs, with a small sandy beach that leads to deeper, rocky waters. Today, the area is part of the Kalypso Hotel complex, which offers amenities such as sunbeds, diving, and water sports.
