Peristere Beach

Peristeres is an isolated and quiet beach located 46 km southwest of Rethimno and very close to the village of Rodakino.

The sandy beach features crystal-clear waters and is shaded by carob trees. Along the eastern side of the coastline, there are many rocks, caves, and small beaches. At Kastelos rock, pigeons nest, which is the origin of the beach’s name (Peristeres = pigeons).

Peristeres is the third beach you will encounter after Korakas and Polyrizos if you are driving east from Rodakino village.
