Description
The beach of Bali is one of the most popular beaches in the prefecture of Rethymnon, located 32 km from the capital.
The sea is usually tranquil, making it suitable for family holidays. It consists of four bays that form beautiful sandy beaches with pebbles and clear green water. Facilities for water sports, safe swimming under lifeguard supervision, as well as accommodations and food, are available.
Livadi is the largest of the four beaches and is more exposed to winds than the others. Its name derives from the nearby plain. Next is Varkotopos, a sheltered bay with a beautiful organized sandy beach and shallow water, offering all the necessary amenities. Moving further north, you reach Bali’s fishing harbor, facing the third beach named Limani, located next to taverns and shops. The smallest of the four is the last beach, Karavostasis, reputed to be the most beautiful in the area.
Access to the beach is easy via the Rethymnon–Heraklion national road by private or public transport.
