Agia Panagia (Pantanassa) is a historic 18th-century church in Heraklion, dedicated to the Virgin Mary and St. Minas. Originally built during Venetian times, it was restored in 1735 and played a key role during Ottoman rule. Known for its ornate wood-carved iconostasis, Gothic architectural features, and valuable icons by Cretan painters, the church stands as a symbol of faith, resilience, and cultural heritage in the heart of the city.
