Agia Irini Gorge Waterfalls

Description
The waterfalls in Agia Irini Gorge are small, seasonal cascades that appear along the stream running through the gorge, mainly after winter rains and during spring snowmelt from the White Mountains. They are not large, continuous waterfalls, but rather short drops and trickling flows that form between rock steps and shaded pools.
Most of the year—especially in summer—the gorge is mostly dry or has only minimal water flow. When active, though, the combination of steep limestone walls, vegetation, and flowing water makes the gorge especially lush and atmospheric compared to its dry-season appearance.
