Falassarna (or Phalasarna) is a renowned coastal area 59km west of Chania city in Crete, known primarily for its expansive, award-winning beaches and its ecological significance as part of the Natura 2000 protection network. While famous for its turquoise waters and white sand, the area also includes important wetlands and unique coastal features.
