Founded in 2008 and operational since July 2009, the Monastery of St. Anastasia the Roman is a tranquil, relatively new religious site located in the hills near Rethymno, Crete. It is the first monastery in Greece dedicated to St. Anastasia the Roman and features a main church and a chapel dedicated to St. Kosmas the Aetolian.
